“Meanwhile, Outside the Laboratory”© March, 2005 Brian VigueDuring their fantastic journey, a young boy and his pink squirrel sidekick take a break by a babbling brook. This picture has a more realistic style than my usual work because instead of fully mind-envisioned material, several photo references were used: shots taken from Maine's western mountains, and the kid was an attendee at a local heritage festival. Squint, and you can see the pencil strokes. All that black space consists of Prang graphite, so it got messy toward the end. |
