Bjork: Debut Album Cover

The song "Human Behaviour" was what inspired me to buy Bjork's "Debut" album. At that time, I was practicing portraits using enamel paint, so I called her my next test subject. The actual album photo was black-and-white, but I experimented with colors.

Kristie

She was painted in 1993, but eight years later she won 2nd place in 'other media' in a downtown art show. That's one nice thing about working with enamel paint: less competition from the oil and watercolor crowds.

Ethan

This 16x20 portrait holds the record for fastest painting: I completed it within twelve hours. Ethan looks rather sharp when not commanding a bumbling star fleet.
